Your files stay on your device
VibeOffice runs entirely in your browser. Documents are opened, edited and saved on your own computer. There is no server behind it, no upload and no account, so this site and the app do not collect or store your documents.
Licensing
VibeOffice's source code is free software under the Apache License 2.0. Two folders carry
their own licences: the proofing word lists and thesaurus under public/common/dict/,
and the bundled fonts (Carlito, Caladea and Gelasio) under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
Risks and responsibility
VibeOffice is provided "as is", and you use it at your own risk:
- No warranty. There is no warranty of any kind. Bugs, crashes and data loss can occur.
- Back up your files. Keep a copy of any important document before you edit or save it with any tool, including this one.
- Compatibility. The goal is a lossless round trip, but some features or formats may not be fully supported yet. Check that a file opens as expected in its original application before relying on it.
- Independent project. This is not an official Microsoft product, and Microsoft does not provide support for it.
